Arabica Chicory Filter Coffee
Arabica chicory filter coffee is the classic coffee-chicory powder of South Indian homes: fine-ground Arabica mixed with roasted chicory root for a thick, dark decoction with a rounded, slightly sweet finish. The chicory adds body and softens bitterness, and it carries no caffeine, so a higher chicory share also makes a gentler cup.
We sell five ratios. 90:10 is mostly coffee with a hint of chicory. 80:20 is the everyday home blend. 70:30 and 60:40 give a heavier, darker cup that holds up well in milk, and 50:50 is the strongest chicory taste, for those who like it the way many old coffee houses served it. Every blend is roasted after you order and ground for a South Indian filter.

Filter coffee questions
Which chicory ratio is best?
80:20 is the most common home choice. Go to 90:10 for a lighter, coffee-forward cup, and 70:30 or 60:40 for a thicker, darker decoction.
Does chicory have caffeine?
No. Chicory root is caffeine-free, so a 60:40 blend has less caffeine per cup than a 90:10 blend made with the same amount of powder.
Is the chicory mixed in or sold separately?
Both. The blends come pre-mixed at the ratio on the pack, and chicory powder is sold on its own if you want to mix your own.
What grind do these come in?
South Indian Filter by default, suited to a two-chamber steel filter. You can pick another grind or whole beans on the product page.
Is chicory coffee good for you?
Chicory is a plant root used for centuries in coffee blends. It is a flavour choice, not a health product, and a cup with milk and sugar is still a sweet drink.
