Filter Coffee Powder

Fresh South Indian filter coffee powder, ground fine for the traditional steel filter and roasted only after you order. Choose a blend by how you like your cup: Arabica with chicory for the classic thick decoction, Arabica with Robusta for strength and crema, or pure Arabica for a smooth, sweet cup.

Every pack is available in 250g, 500g and 1kg. New to filter coffee? Start with a 250g pack, which makes roughly 25 to 30 cups. Each product page shows the exact ratio, origin and brewing notes.

We roast in small batches at our own roastery and only after your order is paid, so there is no old stock on a shelf. Arabica comes from Karnataka, Robusta from Arunachal Pradesh, blended with chicory at the ratio on the pack. If you are not sure where to begin, an 80:20 Arabica and chicory pack is the usual home choice, and 90:10 is the lighter step up.

What is filter coffee powder?

Coffee roasted and ground fine for a South Indian filter (a two-chamber metal filter). Hot water drips through the powder and makes a strong decoction, which is mixed with hot milk and sugar.

Which ratio should I pick?

Arabica with chicory (90:10 to 50:50) gives the thick, bitter-sweet cup many South Indian homes grew up on, and more chicory means a darker, heavier cup. Arabica Robusta blends give more crema and kick without chicory. Pure Arabica is the smoothest and sweetest.

What grind should I choose?

South Indian Filter, which is the default on these products. Choose Whole Beans only if you want to grind at home.

How many cups does 250g make?

About 25 to 30 small filter coffees at 8 to 10 g of powder per cup.

Is it roasted fresh?

Yes. We do not keep roasted stock. Every order is roasted after you pay, so the coffee reaches you days from the roast, not months.

How long does delivery take?

Orders are roasted in the order they come in, so dispatch can take a few days when the roast queue is long. The delivery estimate at checkout is based on your PIN code.
