South Indian coffee made by mixing a filter decoction with hot milk and sugar.
Filter kaapi is the South Indian way of serving coffee: a strong decoction from a steel filter, mixed with hot milk and sugar and often poured back and forth between two cups to cool it and build a froth. The coffee powder is usually ground fine and often blended with chicory.
